Spirit
of the Game
All players in the Orem Ultimate League are allowed the opportunity
to enjoy the game of ultimate and learn something new.
Each player
is responsible for fair play and good sportsmanship. Highly competitive
play is encouraged, but never at the expense of the bond of mutual
respect between players, adherence to the agreed upon rules of
the game, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital
elements serves to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate
field. Such actions as taunting of opposing players, dangerous
aggression, intentional fouling, or other "win-at-all-costs"
behavior are contrary to the spirit of the game and must be avoided
by all players.
Rules "No set of rules can replace players' respect for one
another and for good spirit."
1.
Length of Game - Games are played to 15 points or to 60 minutes.
If, at the end of 60 minutes, neither team has reached 15 points,
team captains will decide upon and play to a "cap". 2. Substitutions - A complete team consists of 5 male and
2 female players on the field at a time. A team may not play with

6 players. 3. Referees - Will NOT be a part of the league. Fouls and
violations will be resolved as outlined in the official UPA rules. 4. Rosters - The league will consist of up to 12 teams.
One team may not have more than 14 eligible players on its roster.
Exceptions in the case of injury are allowed, but must be cleared
with the league director. 5. Defensive Marking - A defensive marker (player guarding
the thrower) can stand no closer than an arm's length (1 yard)
from the thrower. 6. Most importantly - Play hard and have fun!!!
